How it started

Three chapters, one small kitchen

A passion for the real thing

Little Lion Kitchen began as a tiny, family-run kitchen in East London with one goal: share the Sri Lankan and Canadian fusion recipes our family grew up cooking at home. Long-simmered curries, stewed meats and roti made the way our parents and grandparents taught us — that’s where our story starts.

A menu that became a local favourite

Word of mouth around Dundas Street grew into a loyal following of Devil on the Mountain, Chicken Kottu, Pork Poutine and Cheese Chicken Kottu cravers. Rather than expand into a large, generic menu, we’ve kept our offering compact — a handful of signature Sri Lankan and Canadian fusion dishes made consistently well, batch after batch.
